Our weekend was kind of long due to some miscommunications between dh and I. I won't go into detail, I just know I've learned some things I will try and do from now on. We did go glasses hunting for oldest dd(also known as N). Didn't find anything spectacular, so off to the next spot. Then we decided it was time for dinner and found the one restuarant had again raised their prices. It's a decent place, but not worth raising their prices twice in 2 yrs. So off we went to New China(our favorite so far) and decent prices. And, of course, ate waaaay too much. Rested the rest of the evening.
Sunday, dh had an even earlier meeting at the church, so the girls and I drove him there and back. Ds stayed home to shower. We left around noon so ds(R) could set up the sacrament. I like getting to church an hr early since most Sundays it's relatively quiet. Not this one, although it wasn't horrible. The other ward was practising a small group of singers. The music was nice, but I missed the quietness. Next week is General Conference, so we stay home and watch it online. Love this, twice a yr, conference. Always nice to hear from the prophet and his counselors. This time we have a new prophet since Pres Hinckley passed last Jan. Pres Monson is the new one and he's pretty good.
This morning as I awoke to get R up for Seminary(yes Easter Break is over) I heard the rain. No loud thunder, but did hear some rumblings. It woke youngest dd(S) up and brought her to our bed as usual. So, for now, she's sleeping soundly in our bed while I'm online. I ws trying to do my journal over the weekend, but since I had slept in, she woke just as I was attempting so no luck either day.
Today is back to our normal library day for our family. Tues back to doing art/gym. Last week was a nice break of not going anywhere except Mon, but I think by Thurs I was NEEDING to get out. Fri I was in a state of wanting to accomplish something, but needed R to help me. He wasn't in the mood, so I got all upset. I shouldn't have, but because what I wanted to have happen didn't, I blew. I later apologized, and R helped out a bit more feeling bad. This morning he tells me is in a better mood. I told him tha's good because he needs to start working on his Eagle Scout project, which he started last summer. I've been told that there will be times of great excitement, and then other times of dragging. I'm hoping the dragging part is over now. :)
It's a good project. He's donating books and materials for our local library. He's hoping to get help from our neighborhood, the other boys' neighborhoods, church, and our hs group. He's already gotten a small bag of books from our former bishop. I think once he gets going, it'll be a great project, he just needs to be a bit more aggresive with the boys and TELL them what he wants to do, rather than suggest.
Well, I'm going to end for now. Guess I had lots on my mind. Hope this week is better than last for all of us.

Long night
Yesterday, the youth and some of the leaders at church, drove down to the Chicago temple to do baptisms for the dead. Dh and ds met at one of the leader's home and arranged to carpool with others. This was about 4:15 that they left. I knew they would be getting home late, but by 10:30 oldest dd and I decided we'd better head to bed. I woke around 12 and as far as I know, they still weren't home. Later on I awoke(don't remember the time) and finally saw dh in bed. Guess they got home late. They also must be tired because it's 6am and ds still isn't up. lol That's unusual.
The girls and I spent the evening snacking, online, watching videos/DVD's and playing. It was snowing outside. Not sure how much total we got, but not much. I really wish the snow would go away now. Winter has had more than enough time to be here, now it's springs time. I can feel it wants to come, and several times it has appeared, only to have winter push it away temp. Apparently this has been the 2nd snowiest winter in WI in recorded history. One of the news anchors on tv mentioned that we keep thinking to ourselves we're tired of the snow. His coment was, the last time it snowed really bad, they only had horse drawn snowplows and didn't know when the next storm was coming. They didn't have all the conveniences of that we do today, they had to wait out the storms. So basically what he's saying is STOP complaining. At least we have things to do. I like this comment.

Just a quick note
Well I just got this blog set up a bit. Still working on how I want it to look, but thought I'd post a message. I have another blog, but it really doesn't allow me to do everything I want to do. We'll see how this one works.
