Well yesterday, ds R spent most of his day getting things ready for his Eagle Scout Project which will possibly start this Sat afternoon. The weather isn't looking too good, so we'll have to see. I hope, for his sake, that the weather holds until they're done. He's been wanting to get it done literally for months. He told me the other day he'll be glad when it's all done so he can concentrate on other things. I think he'll feel good once it's accomplished.
Dd N received her packet of math in the mail. It's the www.timestales.com that I've been hearing from others that starts to work either that day or after a week. I'm hoping it will help her because she's really struggling with her times tables. We shall see.
I'm determined that I need to be more serious with school stuff now. Dh and I had a nice talk awhile back and it made me realize that I've been too slacking in school. I firmly believe that if you give a child information laying around the house, a child will be curious and want to learn about it on their own(mostly). So I've tried putting some types of books and videos on hold so that my kids will learn of it. It kind of seems to be working with dd N, but ds R is firmly planted in computers. Dd S just wanted to learn about everything, and wants to read to you so you know how excited she is. I think it's neat that at 4 1/2 she's already reading. Amazing! Anyway, I'm hoping to get more serious about stuff now. We'll see how it works in a few weeks. lol
