Well, once again the weekend is closing in. Feels like the week just started and now it's ended. I remember my mom always saying time was flying by quickly. I used to just chuckle and go yeah yeah. But oh how right she was. At least now my ds R realizes this quicker than I did and does try and make life count. Not always, but he tries.
Tonight we're going to the Stake Court of Honor. I think R will be getting his computer merit badge. He's very close to getting 3 others, but those will have to wait till the next court. He has a swimming, family and one other one(one thing on each) and then he'll have those badges. The swimming one will hopefully be done in the next month or two. His scout master emailed him stating at one of the weekend campouts they would head over to one of the local high schools and use their swimming pool. The family one, he just needs to talk to his dad about s_x. Not sure about the other one. Then get his Eagle project done. He says then he'll stop worrying about going to scouts as much. Although I think his dad will still insist that he go, but who knows.
This weekend, dh will be on call again. He traded last weekend with this weekend due to Stake Conference. Which just basically means we don't go out to eat, we don't do heavy duty shopping since if dh gets paged, he needs to have access to his computer within 10 min of being paged if needed. So he informs me, we'll probably do a bit of spring cleaning. That's fine with me. I think I'll start today with the girl's room. It looks like a tornado ran through it. Clothes and books and toys scattered throughout, and their room really isn't that big. R has already started going through his stuff and has found many things he had forgotten about lol. Amazing how that works.
I went on my 2nd evening of visiting teaching with my companion. I used to visit teach her, but I was also companionless. My former companion just hasn't been able to make it to church, and any time you call her at home, she gets interrupted by family. So R.S. Pres had assigned her to a letter route, and given me this sweet sister who has been having a hard time with work and car and life. She has a ds R's age and we can both relate. We had an enjoyable time visiting our 2nd sister. Wed evening we did our first sister. Anway, this last one was harder to get away from because her and my companion know each other from the past and had a lot to catch up on. So we were gone a bit longer. Thankfully the kids were able to play outside in the nice weather, thus giving dad a break and getting their energy out. That has made bedtime so much easier.
