This weekend was General Conference. It's a time where all members of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" watch our Prophet and other general authorities, remind us of who we are, and what we want to become. It's a very spiritual time to spend together at home watching online, or at various meeting houses watching with other Saints. This conference, we were able to view a new prophet being sustained and how that works. Very interesting. Pres. Monson is a good man, and has a good sense of humor.
So Sat after the first session, we went out for lunch as is tradition in the last few yrs. But I guess the kids were all still a bit tired from our trip on Fri. They weren't as eager to eat. R apparently had a stomach ache and was trying to get over that. He apparently was nervous seeing a real case in a courtroom. Well once he saw it, he settled, but his nerves apparently needed more time to settle. I wished he would have told me sooner so I could have talked to him. Oh well, hopefully next time. So once we got home from lunch on Sat we watched the 2nd session. I then, went outside to put up our spring time decor, and while trying to lift something off of a hook, ended up having another decoration fall on my face. OUCH! It was a wooden one and it has left some light bruising under the left eye with some tenderness. Guess next time I'll be more watchful. lol Later on that evening dh and R went to the Priesthood session. They got home almost 10pm so S didn't get to say good night to either since she went to bed sooner.
Sun was another day at home watching Conference. Of course, this day we don't go out to eat, we just vegged at home. Kind of nice to just relax. The kids and I took a walk as well since the temp was almost 70. YIPEE!! Spring time is here at last. Then the last session was here. General Conference always seems to just zip by quickly. So we try and enjoy it as much as we can before it's gone.
